Lewis Hamilton Sends Bold Ferrari Message After Nightmare Debut

The 2026 season of Formula 1 is right around the corner, with the testing sessions being just a few weeks away. Lewis Hamilton comes into the year with massive expectations and hopes of improving from his disastrous debut season. The Briton struggled in his first year and thus believes that the new regulations are his final chance to return to his winning ways in Formula 1.

Ahead of the 2026 season, Lewis Hamilton has delivered a powerful message in support of Ferrari, despite the challenging circumstances. The driver whose F1 prime was ruined because of the ground-effect era believes that the new regulations are truly his chance at redemption, and Ferrari will help him with it.

Speaking on the importance of Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton noted that he would never compare the team with any other on the grid, because the Italian squad was completely different from the rivals. Hamilton insisted that visiting the team’s factory in Maranello was a constant source of motivation for him to keep performing better.

Even Lewis Hamilton did not fail to feel the ‘romantic’ feeling towards Ferrari as a constructor. Despite the massive ups and downs, the crew still has great harmony amongst them, something which the seven-time champion appreciates. As such, the 2026 season might finally witness a great turnaround in performance for the Scuderia, with Hamilton at the heart of it.

There is just something romantic when you go to Ferrari, with the brand, and there is great harmony in the team, even with all the ups and downs that we’ve been having.

Lewis Hamilton reveals ‘areas to improve’ for Ferrari in 2026

Ferrari will need to work desperately on their form if it wants to start the 2026 season on the right foot. The team risks losing Lewis Hamilton if they do not perform well this year. Hamilton will also be involved in the challenger development process, which will certainly help him get a better feeling of the car. As such, before the beginning of the grand circus, Hamilton ponders the areas to improve for the team.

Lewis Hamilton pointed out that everyone in the team was very focused on taking in learnings from 2025 and implementing fixes to the issues from last year. The 41-year-old feels encouraged by looking at the enthusiasm in the constructor despite the disappointments.

Hamilton acknowledged that there were many areas that the team needed to improve upon. However, he has already discussed it with the team, as they are actively working on implementing positive fixes to the car.

Everyone is just so focused on taking the learnings from 2025 to build a better future, and that encourages me every time I go back to the factory. Of course, there are areas we need to improve; we’ve spoken about those, and that’s what we’re working on.

The 2026 season will introduce new regulations, as this might be the final shot for Lewis Hamilton to return to his winning ways. The seven-time champion is already 41 years old and might not have another run in his bag for the next regulations. As such, this season is certainly make or break for Hamilton, and he will have to give it his all for potentially one last time.
