Lewis Hamilton has joined Scuderia Ferrari for 2025 after a couple of underwhelming seasons at Mercedes. The British driver has high ambitions for his stint at Maranello. Now, Hamilton has addressed the possibility of retiring from the sport if he wins a world title with Ferrari.
The seven-time world champion won six world titles between 2014 and 2020. Lewis Hamilton came close to winning the 2021 championship before losing it to Max Verstappen at Abu Dhabi. Since then, the Briton has not been in title contention. However, he hopes to change this with the Scuderia.
Lewis Hamilton emphasised that if he gets lucky enough to finally clinch an unprecedented eighth world title, he would not want to retire from Formula 1. The 40-year-old made it clear that this was the goal of his move to the Scuderia. Moreover, Hamilton highlighted that he has been with two world champion teams in the past. As such, he is aware of how a winning team looks like.
If I was fortunate enough to win another title, which is obviously what we’re setting out to do, I don’t see myself stopping. I’ve worked with two world championship winning teams before and I know what a winning team looks like.
Lewis Hamilton said, as reported by Crash.net
Lewis Hamilton feeling right at ‘home’ with Ferrari
The F1 star seems rejuvenated since making his first visit to Maranello. Lewis Hamilton confessed that he feels at home with his new team. The seven-time world champion reckoned that his presence at Ferrari feels completely natural. The 40-year-old has even started taking lessons in Italian.

I really feel at home. I know I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. It feels natural, it feels it feels right.

Certainly, Lewis Hamilton is eager to get back to winning ways in Formula 1, this time with Ferrari. The British driver remains hungry as ever to win. The Scuderia might be the right environment for Hamilton who has struggled in recent years. However, it remains to be seen if the F1 star can find himself battling for the world title this year.
