Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has shared his thoughts ahead of an important race in Las Vegas this weekend. The 39-year-old’s season has been a mixed one despite amassing two wins and four podiums.

Lewis Hamilton is set to depart for Ferrari in 2025 after spending 12 years with the Brackely-based team. However, his final season with the Silver Arrows has not gone to his liking so far. Struggling with issues in qualifying, the seven-time world champion has struggled greatly this year.

Hamilton has thereafter predicted that the Las Vegas GP might also be a tough one for him. He says that the main issue will be in generating the required tire temperatures in the cold weather of the USA.

Yeah, it’s not going to be great for us. Also there is a section of the track which opens to the public which will be messy. There’s no one driving before us so I wish we had the F1 academy here this weekend, that’ll be cool.

As the Brit heads into his final races for Mercedes, his main aim will be to put in his best efforts here on. The team must also acknowledge the issues of their star man and prepare a good package for the remaining races of the year.

The Sao Paolo GP was an awful one in terms of performance for Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton. After the race, the 39-year-old appeared unwilling to continue racing in the W15 for the rest of the season.

Hamilton has claimed that of not feeling mentally confident after the race in Brazil a few weeks ago. Nevertheless, he is now rejuvenated and determined to deliver his best efforts for the Brackley-based team in the coming races.

It wasn’t a great feeling in that moment, but I’m here, I’m standing strong, and I’m going to give it absolutely everything for these last few races. Nothing can take me down. I’ve got a team that I genuinely still love, and even though I’m leaving, I want to give them the best that I can in these next races.

Mercedes has signed Andrea Kimi Antonelli to fill in the seat of Hamilton from 2025 onwards. They now hold the responsibility of nudging the 18-year-old and making him an asset to the team. With proper guidance and strategies, a new era of success could dawn within the Silver Arrows yet again.
