Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton is one of the most adored personalities in the world of motorsport. Hamilton has amassed seven F1 world championships and has been racing in the sport since 2007.

Lewis Hamilton has picked up his form despite having a slow start to the current season. The 39-year-old, however, finished P9 after a disappointing performance at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. He has now failed to secure a win or a podium in the past three races of the ongoing campaign.

Despite his result, Hamilton was kind enough to take some time to cater to a devoted fan. He lovingly cupped his hands to make a heart-shaped symbol with the fan, which was captured in a video and shared by the latter.

Such heartwarming moments are what add significantly to making the sport the huge success it has become over the years. Moreover, it also shows the soft spot of Hamilton toward his die-hard fans. The Brit is the most followed driver in F1.

The Mercedes W15 struggled to find grip and balance around the challenging streets of Baku on Sunday. The Woking-based team appeared strong during the practice sessions but progressively faltered as the weekend proceeded.

We had a great car on Friday. We made the tiniest changes into Saturday. One of the components wasn’t correctly built. That led us the wrong way then on Saturday. We didn’t find out until the end of the day.

The 39-year-old revealed that a specific component was not implemented properly into the W15’s setup on Saturday. This issue resulted in a poor qualifying run, which compelled the Silver Arrows to start lower down the grid.

Hamilton himself opted for a power unit replacement due to underlying concerns, which made him start the Azerbaijan GP from the pitlane. He made his best efforts but could only manage to secure two points in the 51-lap event.
