Lewis Hamilton is finally a Scuderia Ferrari driver. The seven-time world champion completed his dream move to Maranello at the start of this season after spending over a decade at Mercedes. The 40-year-old is enjoying his time at his new team as he gets up to speed with the Prancing Horse. Now, the Briton has revealed his future dream at Ferrari.
When Hamilton arrived at Maranello in January this year, his first post on Instagram took the internet by storm. The seven-time world champion stood in front of the Ferrari HQ in an elegant three-piece suit while standing right beside the iconic Ferrari F40, the last Ferrari personally developed by the company’s founder Enzo Ferrari.
This makes the car one of the most special Ferraris in the carmaker’s history with collectors spending huge sums to acquire one. Now, Lewis Hamilton has hinted that he wants to make a foray into the world of car design with the F40 as his inspiration.
The seven-time world champion claimed that he wants to design a Ferrari in the near future. The Briton insisted that he wants to design a car that could be as iconic as the F40, naming it the “Ferrari F44,” with 44 referring to his official driver number on the F1 grid.
One of the things I really want to do is to design a Ferrari. I want to design an F44.

Ferrari facing ‘consequences’ over Lewis Hamilton DSQ at Chinese GP
Lewis Hamilton’s impressive sprint victory at the Chinese GP was overshadowed after he was disqualified from the race, alongside teammate Charles Leclerc. Though, both Ferrari cars had separate issues which led to their individual disqualifications. Now, former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher has hinted that Maranello will witness some changes due to this disaster.

Schumacher insisted that Ferrari will leave no stone unturned after this race to ensure that such an incident is never repeated again. A double DSQ not only hampers the team’s prospects in the standings but becomes a major point of embarrassment for the entire team. So much so, that the German warned of consequences within the team.
Now nothing will be left unturned, also because this will have big or small consequences within the team.
Ralf Schumacher said, as reported by FormulaPassion.it
Moreover, Ralf Schumacher pointed out that things were quite clear cut over Ferrari’s weekend. The team was quick on Saturday during the Sprint but fell far behind on Sunday before being disqualified. He made it clear that this was not good for the Italian team if they really want to have a shot at the world championship this season.
One thing seemed clear: on Saturday they were fast, on Sunday they were slow and they were disqualified. And their goal was to fight for the World Championship: this is not good at all.
Ralf Schumacher added
There were rumors of the Ferrari SF-25 struggling with low ride height issues before the start of the weekend. These rumors spread further after Hamilton was disqualified due to excessive wear on his car’s plank underneath. Though, the team has not commented on such speculation.
Can Lewis Hamilton bounce back in Japan?
The seven-time world champion has not had the best of starts to his new journey with Ferrari. Lewis Hamilton would have hoped for much smoother sailing than what he has had so far. The Briton would now be focusing on forgetting the DSQ in China and rather think about the positives from the weekend, including his dominant sprint win.

Heading into the Japanese GP, Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari have some things to fix. The Scuderia must understand what set-up tweak led to its massive drop in performance in Qualifying after the sprint race. This became the main reason for Hamilton and Leclerc’s struggles during the Grand Prix. If the team can’t find the cause of the performance drop, it could only make things more difficult in the coming races.
So far, Ferrari has shown that the SF-25 does have the pace to fight at the front when the set-up is in the right spot. However, it seems that there is a very narrow window in this regard. As such, the Tifosi would be hoping that Lewis Hamilton’s car does work in this window at the next race in Suzuka.
