The 2024 Brazilian Grand Prix weekend turned out to be a chaotic event. From start to finish it was non-stop action and Alpine’s Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly (2-3 finish) took full advantage of the drama to shine at Interlagos. The world has come forward to shower praise on them and so has the seven-time world champion Sir. Lewis Hamilton.

The veteran has wholeheartedly applauded Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly on their sensational performance in the wet Interlagos race. Lewis Hamilton via his Instagram stories, has come up with a lovely message for the prolific French duo.

Really happy to see these two on the podium, great drive guys!

Ocon started the 71-lap Interlagos race from fourth place whereas Gasly came storming through the field starting from P13. Alpine made the right calls from the pits and eventually, things turned out in the favor of the two drivers.

Ahead of the race, an Alpine 2-3 podium finish was not on anybody’s bingo card but Ocon and Gasly managed to do it. Their grit and determination showed that they could hang with the big boys at the North end of the grid under the right circumstances and in a competitive car.

Lewis Hamilton had an extremely ‘tough race’ at Brazilian GP

While Lewis Hamilton has come up with a very kind gesture toward Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly, his own outing was a disappointment in the Brazlian GP. The Brit was only able to manage a tenth-place finish for Mercedes.

After the race, he was understandably a bit dejected with his 71-lap outing.

That was such a tough race for us today – and probably one of the most difficult race weekends of the season, to be honest. The car has been very difficult to drive all weekend, and it didn’t hook up at any point during the race either.

Lewis Hamilton said via Mercedesamgf1.

The 2024 F1 season has only three Grand Prix remaining on the calendar. Hamilton is headed to Ferrari at the end of the year and thus, he would want to make the most of the remaining races.

The 39-year-old has been driving for the Brackley-based team since 2013 and shares a very close bond with them. Keeping in view everything that has been discussed, the upcoming races are going to be a fascinating watch from the point of view of the Mercedes faithful.
