Lewis Hamilton will race for Scuderia Ferrari in the upcoming season. The Italian team had a positive outing in preseason testing at Bahrain’s Sakhir International Circuit. Now, Hamilton has expressed his excitement for the season opener in Melbourne.
The seven-time world champion previously claimed to be feeling incredible when he first took the SF-25 on-track in Bahrain. However, Hamilton has had to relearn how to drive due to the stark differences in the Ferrari car. On the other hand, the Briton’s teammate, Charles Leclerc had mixed feelings after the test.
After the conclusion of the test, Lewis Hamilton insisted that the three days were fantastic for Ferrari. The 40-year-old reckoned that the Scuderia made good progress during testing. So much so, that Hamilton could not wait to get back into the cockpit and finally race for the Prancing Horse at the Australian GP this month.
Overall, they were fantastic days and we made great progress as a team… I am very excited to get to the first race in Melbourne. I can’t wait to run with them.

Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari managed preseason despite difficult weather
Weather played a prominent role in Bahrain the past week. Drivers were greeted with unexpected cold conditions and even rain. Lewis Hamilton admitted that such circumstances made it a bit difficult to manage the team’s running. Nevertheless, he insisted that Ferrari gained ample information ahead of the start of the season.

The weather was difficult to manage all week, but sometimes the tests go like this and we were able to gather a lot of information to work on before the season starts.

Certainly, Lewis Hamilton seems confident after preseason testing. The seven-time world champion aims to get back in contention for the world title. As such, the Tifosi can expect to see Hamilton push himself to the limit against the rest of the grid when the season kicks off later this month.
