Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes were set for a challenging weekend in Singapore. The Marina Bay was not well-suited for the W15 in comparison to the likes of Red Bull and Mercedes. However, it was the grueling nature of the race which exhausted the seven-time world champion.
At the end of the race, both Lewis Hamilton and George Russell were completely drained. So much so, that Russell could barely even get out of his car. The two drivers were forced to skip the media session to recover in the Mercedes hospitality.
The seven-time world champion was lost for words to describe his emotions after such a tiring race. Lewis Hamilton highlighted that despite the difficult 2024 campaign, the entire team was pushing as hard as possible. Moreover, Hamilton admitted that the team got the strategy wrong this weekend.
It is hard to describe the range of emotions you feel when we have a difficult race like that. This year continues to be a testing one for everyone, but we are all pushing as hard as we can. We don't always get things right and that was the case today with our strategy.Lewis Hamilton said post-race

Lewis Hamilton expresses faith in Mercedes despite poor Singapore GP
The British driver pointed out that every decision made during a race weekend is made with good intentions. Unfortunately, sometimes the decisions don’t bring the desired results. Nevertheless, Lewis Hamilton asserted that the entire Mercedes squad was in this together, no matter how frustrating it can get on a few occasions.
We all head into the weekend, and every decision we take, with the right intentions and sometimes it doesn't work out. It can be frustrating, but we are all in this together.Lewis Hamilton insisted
Certainly, Hamilton remains motivated to end his Mercedes journey on a high note with just six races to go. After showing some promise during the start of the Singapore GP, the Silver Arrows failed to be in contention for victory. However, it remains to be seen how things pan out for the 39-year-old in the coming weeks.
