Lewis Hamilton revealed his father’s response to him facing bullying and racism

Lewis Hamilton is the only black driver in the history of Formula 1 and also in his junior karting days. As a result, the Briton has faced a lot of bullying and racism in the sport. However, his father was present as a motivator to remind him to perform well despite the odds. Hamilton Sr. would ask the 39-year-old to keep his head down and defeat the people on track as a response.

There was no escaping it. You experience it at school, in the parks, walking through town. I didn’t understand it and my parents never spoke to me about it. They never explained what was going on. My dad was just, ‘Keep your head down, hold it in, don’t say anything, just beat them on the track, that’s all you can do.
