Lewis Hamilton ‘absolutely furious’ after missing out on front row start at Italian GP
Lewis Hamilton was extremely agitated with his slump in performance at the Italian GP after missing out on a front-row start.

Lewis Hamilton has sustained a rollercoaster of performance ever since the beginning of the 2024 season. The Briton has scored two consecutive race wins amidst Mercedes’ massive upturn in performance. However, the Italian GP was a rude awakening as Hamilton could only manage a P6 starting position for the race. The 39-year-old opened up regarding his thoughts on the disappointing results.
Lewis Hamilton was expecting at least a front-row start to the Italian GP after topping the Q2 qualifying session. However, the Briton couldn’t string the laps together better and fell to a P6 slot for the race. As a result, Hamilton noted that he was absolutely furious over the result and claimed that he didn’t do the job required for a front-row start.

Apart from this, Hamilton pinpointed the exact moments when he lost the time required for a front-row start. The Briton believed that his drive around the first and second corners of the Temple of Speed lost him a few tenths of a second. Additionally, the last corner of the circuit was challenging for the seven-time world champion as well.

Lewis Hamilton claimed he ‘couldn’t figure out’ why qualifying sessions were his ‘weakness’
Lewis Hamilton is often regarded as the driver with exceptional driving capabilities. However, the Briton has continued to suffer to score great qualifying results for some time. Hence, the 39-year-old didn’t hesitate to point out that he failed to understand why the qualifying sessions were a weakness for him.

The 2024 season has continued to build up in excitement as uncertainty looms over the positions of multiple drivers in the standings. Hamilton will have to work extremely hard at the Italian GP to manage a solid outing during the race. Several eyes will be glued on the Brit during the 53-lap event.
