Mercedes has started to pick up the pace in the 2024 season by starting to perform well. The crew has faced a much better time at the Spanish GP with great results during the qualifying session. Lewis Hamilton has also successfully outscored George Russell in the qualifying session. Hence, the seven-time world champion has showcased his contentment with positive results.

Mercedes’ start to the season saw the team lose out on crucial points for the constructors’ championship. Additionally, George Russell outscored Lewis Hamilton on a majority of the occasions further frustrating Hamilton. The shift in results was so much that the fans started accusing Mercedes of sabotaging the 39-year-old’s chassis ahead of the qualifying session.

However, with Lewis Hamilton’s P3 qualifying result, the conspiracies of Mercedes’ mischief will settle down. Hamilton reckoned that he was quite happy with the positive result after a difficult start to the year.

Lewis Hamilton claims the W15 is crafting into a ‘racing machine’

Mercedes’ struggles during the ground-effect era had caused the fans to lose hope from the team. Additionally, the W15 chassis put forth sub-par performance which had no chance of competing with its rivals. However, the in-season upgrades implemented since the Monaco GP have helped the chassis improve in terms of performance.

Upon this, Lewis Hamilton reckoned that the car was starting to look promising in performance. The chassis was being crafted into a racing machine capable of fighting with the rivals at the forefront. As a result, the team anticipates a great battle for the top spot for the Spanish GP after a great end to the qualifying session.

Slowly, the car is crafting into a racing machine that we can use to fight the cars ahead.

The 2024 season has showcased great racing action amongst the top-order of the teams. Red Bull’s struggling pace has enabled the rivals to start catching up for the championship lead.
