Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton is one of the best drivers at the pinnacle of motorsport. He currently races for the Brackley-based Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team but is set to join Scuderia Ferrari in 2025.
Lewis Hamilton‘s on-track brilliance has been on the decline. He has won two races and secured five podiums this year but has not been very effective in his efforts. However, his last performance at the Las Vegas GP was a solid one in which he secured P2 after starting P10 on the grid.
Hamilton has since talked of his legacy ahead of his final races for the Brackley-based team. The 39-year-old has stressed becoming a better human being rather than being the best driver in the sport’s history.
I think at one point when I was younger, it was about being remembered as one of the best drivers in the world, and I care a lot less about that now. It’s more about trying to be the best human being you can be and actually doing something for people.

The Brit departs the Silver Arrows as the most accomplished driver in their history. Young Italian sensation, Andrea Kimi Antonelli will now succeed him from 2025 onwards. With only two races remaining, Hamilton will seek to make his best efforts in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
Lewis Hamilton’s take on the extremely exciting Qatar Grand Prix
Mercedes have high hopes for the Qatar GP after a brilliant 1-2 finish at Vegas last weekend. Having secured only 425 points so far, the team will rely on Lewis Hamilton to perform as he did in the previous race.

It’s much better than last year, so I’m hoping this weekend will be different—maybe something special.

Hamilton faced severe issues during the previous season at Lusail while driving in the W14. He still has high hopes for the much-reformed W15, which is expected to manage the layout and the temperature changes this weekend.
Hamilton would deeply want to win at least one more race with the Brackley-based team before racing in red overalls from 2025 onwards. He will be challenged by the likes of Ferrari and McLaren, who currently chase the constructors’ title.
