Lewis Hamilton shocked the world by announcing his dream move to Ferrari for 2025 at the beginning of the season. Hamilton mentioned he is near to his 40s and he didn’t want to lose the chance of not getting to drive for the Red. This also means that the Briton has reached a certain age where he can also shock everyone by his retirement from the sport. Recently he was asked about how he was in his 20s and 30s comparing it to now.

The seven-time-world champion Lewis Hamilton explained that at his core, he still feels like the same person he was when he was younger. However, over the years he has become much more confident in who he is and what he wants out of life. The 39-year-old has a clearer idea of his goals and feels more at ease with himself now. This comfort allows him to enjoy his creativity more, whether it’s in composing music, designing fashion, or excelling in sports. Hamilton believed this self-assurance and comfort in his own skin have helped him pursue his passions with greater freedom.

Deep down, I'm still the same kid I always was, but I'm much more confident in myself, in what I want and where I want to go. I'm more comfortable in my own skin, enjoying my creativity, whether it's in music, fashion or sports.

Lewis Hamilton explains the importance of travelling for the first time in different countries

Lewis Hamilton mentioned that he began travelling at the age of 13. He felt very fortunate to have had the chance to see so much of the world at a young age. The Briton explained that travelling at a young age is a unique experience because everything is new for you. He recalled the excitement of visiting places like Brazil and Italy for races, for the first time. This experience felt special to Hamilton, but he also expressed sadness stating that once you’ve visited a place you can never have the first-time feeling again. I started traveling when I was 13. I’m very lucky to have been able to see the world. It’s very different when you start traveling at a young age. Everything is a first time, the first time in Brazil, the first time in Italy. That newness is so special. It’s sad that you won’t have that first time again.
Lewis Hamilton stated.

Certainly, Lewis Hamilton believes that drivers should enjoy their visits to different countries and thank their fans for their support. They should do this because they will never experience that feeling again, as Hamilton feels now as he approaches his 40s.
