The Briton stated the 2008 win as memorable because it had too many challenges of weather conditions. The race was held in the rain, which made it very tricky for drivers to maintain control of their cars. Despite these difficult conditions, Hamilton felt he performed exceptionally well that day. Winning by a margin of 68 seconds was extraordinary for him, which showed how well he navigated the race’s challenges. He highlighted that race as a particularly standout performance from him, especially in rain.

I don’t know, I think [2008] it’s because it was a wet race and it was the trickiest conditions that a driver will experience, and just the level that I was able to operate that day. I think it was like 68 seconds that I won the race. Far outdid any other race that I probably ever done. Particularly in the rain.
