Lewis Hamilton has faced a very challenging debut with Ferrari in the 2025 season. The Briton has failed to amass any notable results in the first half of a season, apart from a sprint race win in China. Despite Hamilton’s failed stint with Maranello this year, the team has still posted a substantial boost in profit following the former’s entry.
Lewis Hamilton‘s bombshell move to Ferrari caught everyone off guard as the news hit the paddock like a storm. The news was released even before he started his final season with Mercedes. Since then, many sponsors jumped ship from Brackley to the Italian outfit, alongside the seven-time champion. Even the 40-year-old had received a handsome amount of money, purely because of the sponsorship placements on his racing suit.
Lewis Hamilton wasn’t the only one reaping the benefits of moving to the most iconic team in Formula 1 in Ferrari. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Scuderia has reportedly received over $58.5 million in profit because of Hamilton’s entry. This substantial profit can be attributed mainly to the seven-time champion and his influence outside the pinnacle of motorsport.
However, a part of the massive profit received by Ferrari this year is also attributed to their runner-up finish in the 2024 season. Reports suggest that the Italian outfit and Lewis Hamilton can receive even more profit if the latter starts performing better this year and starts scoring race wins. The Briton’s best finish this season is only a P4 finish at the Austrian and British GP.
For now, Lewis Hamilton will enjoy the emotional summer break and hope to bounce back stronger for the latter half of the season. Regardless, Hamilton has already shifted focus away from the 2025 season and is looking forward to emerging as a winning force under the new regulations of the 2026 season.
Ex-F1 champion declares Ferrari ‘definitely has’ to listen to Lewis Hamilton
Amid Ferrari’s continued struggles, Lewis Hamilton was reportedly sending documents to Ferrari that contained information about potential fixes to the car. The 40-year-old received some flak for this, as people believed that he was simply commanding the team to work according to his whims. However, after Hamilton cleared the air on what was in the documents, ex-F1 champion Nico Rosberg emphasized the importance of the former’s insights.

Nico Rosberg asserted that Lewis Hamilton was a seven-time champion, as Ferrari definitely had to listen to what he had to say. The 2016 F1 champion acknowledged that it would still take time for the Italian outfit to effectively implement the changes that Hamilton has suggested. Rosberg reckoned that it would be a very long fixing process if the 40-year-old is unhappy with the balance or other major issue.
He’s a seven-time World Champion, so you definitely have to listen to what a seven-time World Champion is telling you. But it also takes time. Many of the things they cannot just change overnight. If the brakes are an issue, it’s a long lead time to develop the new brake system. Or if he’s not happy with the balance, it’s a really long process.
Nico Rosberg said, as reported by Planetf1
Lewis Hamilton is too far off the drivers’ title lead to Oscar Piastri now, as he can give up on that hope for the 2025 season. Ferrari must still take in great learnings from this season and hope that the issues do not come up in the coming season as well. The 2026 season must be a fresh start for the Italian constructor alongside the seven-time champion as they aim to emerge as a dominant force by then.
