‘Stubborn’ Lewis Hamilton refuses to change his driving style for ground-effect cars
Lewis Hamilton admitted that he remained stubborn when it came to his driving style for the ground-effect F1 cars.

The driver with the most pole positions in history, Lewis Hamilton, has failed to secure pole positions in 2024.. At the start he approached the Qualifying sessions with his best driving style, but it didn’t yield the expected results. His usual driving style wasn’t effective for single-lap performance in qualifying, forcing him to adapt to a new style.
Lewis Hamilton admitted that he’s a bit stubborn when it comes to his driving styles. He likes to drive in a way that feels natural to him, but he’s realized that it doesn’t always give the best results. A possible reason for it could be that the current generation ground-effect cars doesn’t suit his approach. As such, he tried keep his driving experience more enjoyable. Despite trying to balance his preferred style with what works best, Hamilton’s efforts haven’t been very successful during current season.

Further, Hamilton stated that even with all his experience in the sport, he believed that a driver must be willing to adapt. He understood that the way he usually approaches things might not always be the best. Hamilton reckoned, he has to be open to change and learn from situations where his usual way of doing things doesn’t work out perfectly. Even after achieving so much, he understands the importance of adjusting and continuous improvements.

Lewis Hamilton mentioned that F1 drivers should be capable of driving any car and he believes they can. However, he acknowledged that in certain situations, some drivers adapted more quickly than others. While some drivers needed only a short time to adjust, others took longer. Despite these differences in how quickly drivers adapted, Hamilton didn’t think it was a complete failure. The Briton said that it doesn’t mean the overall performance has been disastrous.
As drivers, we should be able to drive anything and I think we can . In some situations, some drivers cope better than others and need a shorter period of time to adapt, others need more, but I wouldn't say it's been a disaster.Lewis Hamilton stated.
Certainly, Lewis Hamilton claims drivers are capable of driving any car if they put their mind and soul into it. However, different kinds of drivers adopt different styles and strategies in their approach. Fans hope, Hamilton’s approach which helped him win more races in the remaining 10 races of 2024.
