Lewis Hamilton complained of not feeling comfortable in his W15 during free practice session in Monza. The race saw high temperatures, around 34 degrees Celsius. This, combined with the car running at high speeds, caused the car’s internal temperature to rise significantly. Hamilton experienced extreme heat inside his car.
Lewis Hamilton explained that it felt extremely hot inside his W15 on Friday which was almost unbearable. He wasn’t entirely sure why it was so hot, but he guessed that there might be some hot air leaking from the radiators. The Radiators cool the car by releasing heat, but hot air leaking inside can make the car’s interior much warmer. This made it uncomfortable for the Briton, as he felt the intense heat coming inside of the car.
It was ridiculously roasting in our car. I’m not quite sure exactly, I think down by the radiators there’s probably some leakage of hot air.Lewis Hamilton stated.
Hamilton described the heat inside his car as extremely intense. He compared it to sitting in a sauna without any clothes on, where the heat feels directly on the skin causing discomfort and even pain. The intense heat added a level of physical stress that made the experience quite painful for the seven-time world champion.
It was very hot. Like sitting in a sauna with no shorts on. Pain.Lewis Hamilton added

Lewis Hamilton warns Mercedes to not put W15 ‘too out of the bed’
Lewis Hamilton mentioned that he’s feeling good about the race tomorrow but emphasized the importance of the work they need to do tonight. This includes not only what they do on track but also the efforts at the factory with simulators. Using the simulator, they can test different strategies for qualifying. He stressed that they must be careful with the car’s setup and adjust the settings to ensure it performs well. At the Dutch GP, they didn’t set up the car properly, which led to poor performance, so they want to avoid making those mistakes again.
I’m feeling good [for tomorrow]. It’s going to be really important the work we do tonight, the work that gets done back at the factory in the simulator and just to thread carefully with the set up so we don’t put the car too out of bed like we’ve done in the past.Lewis Hamilton stated.
Certainly, Lewis Hamilton is looking forward to the team fixing the issues from the Dutch GP and perform well in Italy. Fans expect a third win from the Briton as it is crucial for them to narrow the points gap to Ferrari.
