Lewis Hamilton the seven-time F1 world champion, is well-known for his various works for the welfare of society. He is every now and then seen helping people in one form or another and during the ongoing summer break, he has been keeping up with his philanthropic work.
Lewis Hamilton recently visited the African nation of Mozambique where he partnered up with UNHCR, the Refugee Agency. In association with them, he met the refugees living in Maratane Refugee Settlement in northern Mozambique.
The experience was downright unforgettable for the prolific British driver.
Grateful for the opportunity to meet with refugees living in Maratane Refugee Settlement in northern Mozambique. The country is home to more than 710,000 displaced people, including 25,000 refugees. Being able to meet some of these people is not an experience I take lightly. Whether they’ve been displaced due to conflict or natural disasters, they strive for themselves, their families, and their histories every day.Lewis Hamilton via Instagram
He further went on to add the following.
The strength, spirit, and resilience of the people I met will stick with me for the rest of my life, as will the compassion of those working on the ground to defend and protect their lives every day. All of our lives are connected, and we share everything.Lewis Hamilton via the same post
Looking at the heartwarming reaction of the 39-year-old, it is quite clear that the experience he had meeting the refugees was inspiring for him. He also took the time to give a shoutout to the relentless work of the NGO in improving the lives of the 25000 refugees living in Mozambique.
Lewis Hamilton getting excluded from conversations within Mercedes?
The 2024 F1 season is making a return this week with the Dutch Grand Prix. However, ahead of the marquee event, Ex-F1 world champion, Damon Hill has given a bit of a controversial statement.
Hill believes that because of Hamilton’s move to Ferrari next year, he is getting excluded from conversations within the Mercedes camp.
I mean, he’s got to be excluded from conversations to do with whatever’s coming for next year. They don’t want to show many insights that he might take to Ferrari, particularly. So it may be he’s deprived of a little bit more information than he’s liked in the past.Damon Hill Via F1 Nation Podcast
Lewis Hamilton has found his lost mojo during the ongoing campaign with the significant improvements in the W15. He has already amassed two wins and whether he is getting excluded from conversations or not, his goal for the remaining 10 races is going to be to win as many as possible. Hamilton will bring the shutter down on his long-standing partnership with Mercedes at the culmination of the 2024 Abu Dhabi GP.
