Lewis Hamilton has failed to stay at the top of his game during his highly anticipated Ferrari debut. The Briton was expected to contend for the drivers’ title and return the Italian constructor to their glory days. However, Hamilton now struggles to even compete for a front-row start in qualifying as he achieves only a P12 start for the Miami GP. Now, the seven-time champion has given a heartbreaking verdict on his trying time with the Scuderia amidst failing performances.

Lewis Hamilton’s performance at the Miami GP sprint race was decent after Ferrari’s gamble to pit early paid off well. The Briton, despite finishing in P3 in the sprint, couldn’t clear the Q2 qualifying session. Hamilton’s well known qualifying struggles seem to have caught up at Ferrari as well. The 40-year-old remains heavily outscored by his Monegasque counterpart Charles Leclerc.

Lewis Hamilton reflected on his first six races with Ferrari and put forth a brutal verdict. The once dominating force is now struggling ‘big time’ to bring home great results. Still, Hamilton reassures that Maranello is trying their hardest to not bring in many changes to the setup and find that sweet spot. Regardless, the Italian constructor seems to remain inconsistent in their pace as the 40-year-old suffers from a disappointing situation.

We’re six races in but we’re struggling big time. We’re trying our hardest not to make big set up changes but no matter what we do, it’s so inconsistent when we go out.

Lewis Hamilton told in a post session conference

Hamilton believes that Ferrari has seemingly got it all wrong with the car at the moment. The Italian constructor is desperately behind the leading pace of teams in terms of pace and performance. The 40-year-old pinpoints that the brakes and the stability of the SF-25 Challenger are problematic to handle. The seven-time champion swallowed his words and candidly accepted that the team is struggling to make it to Q3 in the qualifying.

We got problems with brakes, we got problems with stability… We’re just generally not quick enough. Just to get into Q3 it’s tough for us at the moment.

Lewis Hamilton ‘used to’ poor results with Ferrari

Lewis Hamilton has only achieved one sprint race win with Ferrari in what was supposed to be his year of dominance. The Briton hasn’t been able to keep the struggles of the challenger at bay and score well. Still, he remains optimistic about his chances and hopes to give it his all on the track for the Miami GP. Hamilton is still wary of the struggles he could face on the track while starting at P12 against the mid-field drivers.

Hamilton insists that Sunday is bound to be hard work for Ferrari, but is prepared to try again. Regardless, the Briton claims that these struggles are routine for him as he faced similar problems during his final years at Mercedes. The 40-year-old reassures that he will keep trying to be back at the front of the grid and also visit Ferrari’s factory in Maranello in hopes of improving performances.

Tomorrow is gonna be hard work but we’ll try again tomorrow. But it’s the same thing for me, I’m used to it, it is what it is. I’ll just keep trying, be back to the factory next week and just keep going.

Lewis Hamilton noted

Hamilton is certainly not impressed with the struggles he is facing at Ferrari. Rumors have already started to creep up about the 40-year-old attempting to quit the team earlier than expected in the wake of these struggles. However, as things currently are, the Briton is motivated to achieve a comeback in performance and finally fight at the forefront for the race wins. Still, the Italian constructor has a lot of gray area to cover against the rivals in terms of on-track performance.
