Pop sensation Taylor Swift‘s ever-growing popularity has crept its way into Formula 1 after a few drivers were spotted enjoying listening to the American singer. George Russell is one of the biggest Swifties on the grid and even Lewis Hamilton seemed to have joined the list. The seven-time world champion enjoyed listening to Swift but didn’t particularly like the tag of being a ‘Swiftie’.

The media activities are extremely fun and interesting during American race weekends, especially the US GP. Lewis Hamilton was partaking in a regular pre-weekend interview and was questioned regarding his interest in Taylor Swift as a singer. The 39-year-old reckoned that he wasn’t exactly a fan enough to be regarded as a ‘Swiftie’.

I didnt say I’m not a swiftie, but to be (fair), what is a Swiftie? You have to be pretty hardcore?

Hamilton had listened to one of the songs of Swift which he liked in particular. However, the former believed this interest wasn’t deep enough to grant him the label of being a ‘Swiftie’. As a result, the 39-year-old claimed that he didn’t know all the songs from Swift and didn’t listen to many albums from the American singer either.

Lewis Hamilton highlights the ‘impossible’ task of upgrades waging good results at US GP

Mercedes has sustained a massive upturn in performance mid-way through the 2024 season. The team is finally able to compete for race wins after Lewis Hamilton managed two triumphs. However, Hamilton noted the impossible task of the W15 upgrades fetching good results for the team. Regardless, he wasn’t too worried as every team was on the same boat and faced difficulty at COTA.

It’s pretty impossible unless you’re just lucky and it [the upgrade] works from the get-go, It’s difficult but everyone’s in the same boat. That puts a lot of pressure and a lot of focus on simulation.
