Red Bull’s extreme struggles have prevented Max Verstappen from putting in race-winning performances on race weekends. Hence, the Dutchman has little hope of competing for the win heading into the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. However, the initial practice sessions turned out positive for him, and the chances of fighting for a win on Sunday (September 15) look realistic.

Max Verstappen topped the FP1 session and later managed a P6 finished in the FP2 session. As a result, he labeled the Friday outing as a ‘good day’ and stated that Red Bull learned a few things during the two practice sessions.

FP2 was a bit trickier for me, we need to get the balance a bit better and then I'm sure we can be competitive.
Max Verstappen noted

Red Bull’s continuous attempts at reviving the car’s performance have continued to fail, with the team unable to score race wins regularly. Regardless, the Milton Keynes outfit will try to return to winning ways for the remaining races, starting with the Azerbaijan GP.
