Max Verstappen claims Red Bull working “flat out” to fix RB20’s issues
Red Bull has quickly lost all chassis performance after sustaining major issues with the RB20 challenger.

Red Bull started the 2024 season off in great form following their dominant 2023 performance. However, the RB20 chassis started producing major issues over the course of the nine races. Due to the issues, Max Verstappen missed out on multiple pole positions and race wins in the season. However, the Dutchman believes that the Austrian constructor is working hard on fixing the issues first.
The major issue has turned out to be the chassis’ balance and grip, especially over the curbs. Max Verstappen previously called out the issues and mentioned that the chassis was jumping like a kangaroo. However, since then, Verstappen reckoned that the team could work and solve the issues without influencing much of the surrounding part of the car.
I really think that we can solve this without influencing any other part of the car.Max Verstappen told Formula1.com.
Additionally, the reigning world champion added that the team and he was aware of the issue being a weakness for the team. Hence, Red Bull was working ‘flat out’ on the problems and aimed to solve them quickly. Verstappen also mentioned that the issue was a big performance limitation for the team currently.
We know that this is a weakness and we are flat out working on fixing it, I feel like it's quite a big performance limitation for us at the moment.Max Verstappen added.
Max Verstappen ‘looking forward’ to tracks with fewer kerbs and bumps
The RB20 chassis continues to ace the straight sectors of any particular circuit this season. Hence, Max Verstappen mentioned that he was looking forward to racing in tracks with fewer kerbs and bumps. These circuits could help Red Bull take more control over the championship standings are further extend the lead over rivals.
Naturally, I'm also looking forward to some tracks maybe where we don't really need to take too many kerbs or too many bumps.Max Verstappen noted.

Apart from this, the Dutchman recalled that different teams were looking increasingly competitive over the progressing season. As a result, this further increased the competition in the pinnacle of motorsport. All these factors made the sport more and more exciting according to the reigning world champion.
You can see already, every weekend so far, some teams are a bit stronger at particular tracks, and I guess that in a way, of course, makes it also very exciting.Max Verstappen concluded.
Red Bull has already started to increase their lead in the championship after Ferrari’s nightmare performance in Canada. Regardless, the 2024 season calls for a lot of excitement towards the end of the season amongst the top order of the teams. As things currently are, Ferrari and McLaren will continue to be an underlying threat to Milton Keynes.
