Verstappen last stepped onto the top step of the F1 podium at Round 10 of the ongoing season.

I don’t expect it to suddenly be one of our strongest weekends, but I just hope that what we did in Baku stabilized the car a bit more – that was positive, and hopefully, we can just build on that and see around here. It’s a bit more bumpy than Baku, but hopefully, the car can take it.

Despite all the issues that Red Bull has faced during the 2024 campaign, Verstappen is still leading the driver’s championship. He has a lead of 59 points over McLaren’s Lando Norris going into the Marina Bay event.

However, keeping in view the impressive form of the McLaren F1 team, it will be extremely difficult for the Dutchman to keep Norris behind. The ongoing season still has seven races remaining which is, enough time for the latter to completely close down the gap.
