Max Verstappen‘s former teammate Daniel Ricciardo returned to F1 at the 2023 Dutch GP with AlphaTauri (Now RB). However, the Australian driver has failed to make a mark with rumors emerging that he could be replaced after the Singapore GP. Now, Verstappen has suggested Ricciardo a way to spend time if he gets sacked.
The reigning world champion praised Daniel Ricciardo‘s achievements in Formula 1. Max Verstappen reckoned that one could only dream of what the Australian has done at the pinnacle of motorsport. As such, this is what the Dutch driver wanted Ricciardo to focus on if he was indeed replaced by Liam Lawson.

Moreover, Verstappen seemed to already have ideas for his former teammate’s time after F1. The 26-year-old suggested that Daniel Ricciardo could try his hands at another racing series or perhaps chill at a farm instead.

Max Verstappen admits it is ‘tough’ to perform in F1 midfield
Verstappen was asked what he felt about Ricciardo’s performance at RB. The Dutch driver highlighted that it is difficult to have a good run of form in the competitive F1 midfield. The 26-year-old reckoned everyone and the Australian driver himself would’ve wanted more. Max Verstappen even emphasized that all drivers want to improve with every season.
It's just very tough in the midfield to have a great run of form, I guess everyone and also himself that hopes for more. You always want to be better. Every year you want to become a better driver and sometimes that works a bit better than other years.Max Verstappen stated

The Singapore GP might be Daniel Ricciardo’s last chance to prove himself in F1 yet again. The Honey Badger would give his everything this weekend as his future might depend on this race. Fans would be hoping for Ricciardo to race for RB at least till the end of the season.
