Sergio Perez’s performance has seen a drastic decline in recent races, especially after his contract extension was announced. However, Perez has to pick the pace up to help Red Bull stay ahead of their rivals in the championship standings. This performance of Checo received harsh criticism from fans, teammate Max Verstappen shared his views on the situation.

Max Verstappen talked about criticism faced by Sergio Perez. He explained that when a team faces difficulties over multiple weekends, it’s challenging for drivers to maintain their best performance. Verstappen pointed out that it is very unfair to put all the blame on Checo for all these problems. The Dutchman noted that, not only Checo but he is also struggling to get the most out of the car. This situation clarifies that Red Bull’s setback is not only because of Perez but both the drivers.

When as a team you are struggling in many weekends, it is difficult as a driver to be consistent. So it's not fair to say it's all his fault. It has also been very challenging for me recently to get the best out of the car
Max Verstappen said

Further, Max Verstappen shared his views on drivers’ experience and car’s performance in F1. He highlighted that when a car is better tuned and reliable it responds more consistently to driver inputs, allowing drivers to operate with greater confidence and less risk. This means, they don’t need to push the car to its limits as often, leading to smoother and more controlled driving. Improvements in aspects such as aerodynamics, suspensions and tire management may lead to success.

The team knows that. When the car gets better and more predictable, it also becomes easy as a driver. Then you don't always have to go over the limit
