Max Verstappen has had a pretty up-and-down 2024 campaign. From his on-track struggles to the Singapore swearing shenanigans, he has been in the limelight for quite a few not-much-desired reasons.
The reigning world champion dropped the F-bomb during a press conference in Singapore, for which, he faced severe repercussions from the FIA. The use of the word has been banned in the sport, and since Max Verstappen‘s punishment, he has cut-out as an extremely frustrated figure.
With the sport currently being at a halt, the 27-year-old has once again stirred the pot by indicating an early F1 retirement.
The reigning world champion via his comments, has made his frustration quite clear with the FIA. If the governing body keeps pushing Verstappen’s buttons, he could very well say sayonara to the sport for good in the coming years.
Red Bull’ promotion of Max Verstappen’ race engineer a ‘well-thought’ plan
While Max Verstappen is still disappointed with how his Singapore weekend panned out, he has also talked about his long-serving race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase. The latter was promoted to Head of Racing within Red Bull last month.
Verstappen was recently asked whether his relationship with GP will change from 2025 and as a response, he had the following to add.
Lambiase and Verstappen share an extremely close bond with each other. Moreover, they are extremely famous in the F1-verse for their hilarious one-on-one tussles over the Red Bull team radio during race weekends.
The ongoing season has proved to be full of bumps for the Red Bull duo but despite this, Verstappen is still leading the driver’s championship. In the remaining six rounds of the campaign, their coordination will be pivotal in ensuring that Verstappen keeps leading the championship in order to amass a fourth-consecutive world title.
