Max Verstappen is enjoying the current competition in Formula 1. During the Spanish GP, Verstappen and Lando Norris fought a close battle for victory. Similarly in Canada George Russell battled with Verstappen and the two set identical lap times in Qualifying.
Max Verstappen explained that having a close competition in Formula 1 is beneficial. He admitted, when the races are closely contested, it makes the sport very intense and exciting for the fans. Even though, the Dutchman enjoys winning, he understands that thrilling battles at the front of the grid are crucial for keeping spectators engaged. This situations create more excitement during races, which makes the sport very enjoyable to watch.
