Max Verstappen has always maintained a decent relationship with the Red Bull crew since he debuted with the team. However, Jos Verstappen has continued to clash heads with multiple key figures of the outfit in the past. Hence, amidst Red Bull’s struggling pace, Verstappen Sr. had commented that the team ignored his son’s complaints which eventually led to the team’s downfall.

Max Verstappen denied these allegations from his father Jos Verstappen despite Red Bull being rumored to ignore the former’s complaints. The Dutchman noted that the team was ‘definitely listening’ to the feedback. However, according to the reigning world champion, it was difficult to find a solution. Regardless, the team was working hard and checking things which will take a long time.

There is definitely listening, but it is difficult to find a solution. We are checking things, but that will take longer.

Additionally, the Dutchman accepted that he didn’t expect a massive turnover in performance after the summer break. Red Bull required time to test and evaluate the changes, something which would take time. However, Verstappen reckoned that it was ‘unfortunate’ to see the team take so long to fix the issues.

It's not like after the summer break I thought, now all of a sudden things are going well. We just need time to test and evaluate. It's just unfortunately taking a bit longer than we want.

Red Bull has continued to implement multiple upgrades in the hope of improving performance. However, the current trajectory suggests that the constructor would easily lose the championship position. Hence, the team must attempt to score a massive comeback in performance to manage a better end to the 2024 season.
