Formula 1 drivers often have a completely packed schedule during the ongoing season. However, the drivers do not deny themselves from a little break during the gap between races. Multiple drivers often tend to spend the holidays with their loved ones. Hence, amidst the ongoing 2024 season, Max Verstappen was spotted taking a break with his girlfriend Kelly Piquet.
Max Verstappen‘s 2024 season has been nothing short of a rollercoaster. Red Bull’s newfound struggles have disabled the chances of a perfect season this time around. As a result, taking a break between the races would be a great way for the world champion to relax. Kelly Piquet took to Instagram to showcase her little getaway with the Dutchman before the upcoming Canadian GP.
The couple took their $500k worth Ferrari SF90 for the getaway to La Réserve Ramatuelle hotel in France. It is unclear if Piquet’s daughter Penelope is present in this holiday. Additionally, Verstappen’s images haven’t been shared by the model. Hence, the couple will continue to spend a few days off as the Dutchman aims to once again start dominating the field.
Helmut Marko claims Red Bull will need Max Verstappen to win races in the 2024 season
Red Bull’s struggles with balance and other simulator data errors have proven to be extremely difficult for performances. The team has lost out on three races so far out of the eight total. Hence, Milton Keynes will need to quickly check the issues and fix the errors. The Austrian team was rumored to ‘ignore’ Verstappen’s feedback about the issues which further caused problems for them.
Speaking on improving the performance, Helmut Marko reckoned that the team still had an advantage on traditional circuits. However, if Milton Keynes fails to find a performance by the Spanish GP, there could be serious issues. Additionally, the 80-year-old highlighted that on circuits where the team expects a dip in performance, they will rely on Max Verstappen’s skills to make a difference in the race results.
I think we still have an advantage over traditional circuits, if we are not ahead in Barcelona then we will really have a problem. On circuits where we won't be the most competitive we can count on the Verstappen factor, he is in full form and makes the difference.Helmut Marko said, as reported by formulapassion.it.
Max Verstappen has attempted to minimize any errors from his end to ensure a consistent performance. Red Bull needs to desperately rediscover their dominant form to hold the lead off against the rival teams. Ferrari and McLaren are constantly breathing down the necks of the Red Bulls for contention at the championship this season.
