Max Verstappen shares his thoughts after Friday practice in Singapore
Red Bull got off to a rocky start around the Marina Bay circuit during the first runs on Friday. The Milton-Keynes-based team finished P8 and P15 in FP2, which has provoked various kinds of reactions from many across the grid.
We haven’t so much been struggling with the bumps and the kerbs, but it was more about the general grip of the tyres. We are going to have to go back and analyse the data and see what we can do to optimise the performance with the car and the tyres so we can improve ahead of qualifying.Max Verstappen said after FP2 via motorsport
Verstappen has deemed the practice sessions as tough, in which the RB20 struggled greatly with grip. The 26-year-old said that his car was subtly better around the bumps and kerbs but failed to perform well with its tires.
The Milton-Keynes-based team has been struggling with bumps and kerbs ever since last year. They have so far failed to find a concrete solution for this but remain optimistic about their chances for the remainder of 2024.
