Max Verstappen claims McLaren are ‘very solid’ at every track in 2024
Max Verstappen admitted that McLaren has found pace at every track in recent races.

McLaren currently has arguably the fastest car on the grid, challenging Red Bull in Constructors Championship. Max Verstappen revealed McLaren is near to close the points gap as they’re faster than Red Bull currently.
Max Verstappen praised McLaren for showing this consistent performance improvements, and become very strong lately. He mentioned that McLaren is now performing on all kinds of track, making them competitive everywhere. Verstappen reckoned, this solid performance across various circuits shows that McLaren has surpassed Red Bull’s RB20 in certain aspects. Their ability to be good on every single track highlighted how much they had closed the performance gap between the two teams.

Max Verstappen mentioned that in Barcelona, McLaren showed how well they managed their tires. The Woking-based team was able to push harder on their tires compared to other teams without experiencing much tire issue by the end of their race. This ability to maintain good tire performance allowed McLaren to be more competitive throughout the race. Their tire management showed their significant improvement, highlighting how they have closed the gap with top teams, including Red Bull.

Max Verstappen claims RB20 ‘strong’ after Friday at Austrian GP
Max Verstappen talked about having a good start and looking forward to the race pace for Saturday’s sprint session. He explained they began the day very well, RB20 performed nicely from the start to the end. The Dutchman noticed there was a small issue with the sensor, but the team fixed it quickly. As he headed towards qualifying the car remained strong and he felt confident pushing his limits.

The 26-year-old mentioned even though they started the day we’ll, there were areas where they need to improve, which should be done by tonight. He highlighted that the sprint race would give them an early idea of how fast each car will be in the main race. Verstappen looking forward to Sprint race so that they it will help them understand where they lack.

Certainly, Max Verstappen hopes the Sunday’s race goes in Red Bull’s favor as they did well in S[print qualifying. The car performed better and Verstappen didn’t find any unease to race. Fans are eager to watch the main race fall in Verstappen’s favor since it’s Red Bull’s home race, so the stadium might be full of Red Bull fans.
