Max Verstappen and Red Bull managed to fend off Lando Norris to clinch the 2024 drivers’ title. The Dutch driver won his fourth championship in a row at the Las Vegas GP last weekend. Now, the 27-year-old has highlighted the reason behind this stellar triumph.

The reigning world championship insisted that it was an incredible moment to take his fourth Formula 1 championship in Vegas. Max Verstappen expressed pride in himself and his team for accomplishing such a massive feat. The Dutch driver admitted that he never thought this would’ve been possible in his career.

Winning the Championship was an incredible moment and I’m so proud of what we have achieved as a Team and of myself too. This win really means a lot to us and being a four-time World Champion is something I never thought possible.

The 27-year-old thanked fans and the team for staying supportive throughout the course of this season. Max Verstappen confessed that he faced some difficult moments this year. However, the Dutch driver and Red Bull did not give up and came back stronger. Verstappen highlighted that this made the title victory even more special.

Max Verstappen urges Red Bull to keep momentum going after Las Vegas GP

Verstappen emphasized that two races were still left in the 2024 season, in Qatar and Abu Dhabi. Thus, Red Bull needs to keep the momentum going this weekend. The Dutch driver asserted that he wants to bring maximum points for the Austrian team in efforts of potentially regaining second place in the constructors’ standings.
