The Hungarian GP incident was a very heated moment for Red Bull driver Max Verstappen. At turn 1 of lap 63 of the Hungaroring Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton collided that affected the Dutchman’s position in the race. He reckoned the strategy Red Bull suggested him to apply was terrible that resulted in such a situation. Max Verstappen seemed very frustrated and used foul language to communicate on team radio.

He felt that there was no need to apologize because it was clear to him that the strategy was horrible.

Verstappen emphasized that he and everyone else in his team dedicate themselves to achieving the best possible results. His frustration came because he believes there should be perfection in every aspect and he thought it was important to express his concerns when things weren’t going as planned. The Dutchman felt that apologizing wasn’t necessary in such an adrenaline-fueled sport, so he chose to express his concerns instead.

Max Verstappen stated that everything they planned, every strategy was a failure at the race which is really frustrating for any driver. Especially, when the driver is leading the titleship and their rivals are catching up very fast. The 26-year-old stated that when things don’t go as planned, it’s very normal to demonstrate frustration. He felt that it’s a natural response from anybody when things are not lying in their favor, and that’s what Verstappen did.

Further, Verstappen mentioned that when things are not going well during the race, there’s a lot of adrenaline involved which makes the emotions run high. However, the 26-year-old pointed out that after the race, he and the team had a clear discussion about what went wrong. They took the time to talk things through and address the issues in their post-race meeting.

Of course a lot of adrenaline goes through your body then. But also in the post-race meeting, we clearly talked about it.

Certainly, Max Verstappen said that it’s pretty normal for a race driver to run his emotions during the race. He admitted that he was frustrated because he was dedicated to that race and one mistake ruined everything for him. Fans are hoping for a great weekend ahead for the upcoming Belgian GP. This will be the last F1 race before the summer break.
