Max Verstappen recently mentioned he was not happy with the idea of Adrian Newey and Jonathan Wheatley leaving the team. However, the 26-year-old and his father Jos Verstappen would also consider leaving Milton Keynes, if the outfit fail to perform consistently in the second half of the ongoing season. Max mentioned that his decision to leave Red Bull will not be based on emotional factors but on technical and practical factors.
With all the chatter about Max Verstappen‘s future after four tough races, the Dutchman said he won’t let emotions sway his decision. He’s staying cool and collected, refusing to let the drama or speculation about his departure get under his skin.
Instead, he’s keeping his head in the game and focusing on what’s ahead. Verstappen has so far amassed 277 points in the standings and is leading the Championship.
I think the most important thing is that you shouldn’t make decisions based on emotions, because that always backfires. I’m a patient person myself, I don’t worry too much about things.
Max Verstappen said, as reported by Formula.hu
Verstappen claims he values his long-standing loyalty to the Red Bull team, noting that such relationships aren’t always common in F1. He feels fortunate that this mutual commitment exists in his case, highlighting how important it is to maintain strong, lasting relationships in the sport.
Of course, it means a lot and I appreciate that my relationship with the team goes back a long way. Loyalty is very important and I don’t think it is always there in F1.

Max Verstappen optimistic about Red Bull’s new engine project
Even though Red Bull has hit a rough patch in the last four races, Max Verstappen is keeping his optimism about the team’s new engine project. He acknowledges that his team is up against seasoned pros who have immense experience, but believes the Austrian outfit has what it takes as they have signed a lot of new people. Therefore, the Dutchman is optimistic about his run with Red Bull.
The key people stay with the team and now we have our own engine project. How is it going? I have a lot of faith in him, but we have to be realistic. We have to fight against people who have been making engines for over a hundred years. They have a lot of experience, but of course we have also signed a lot of people.

Indeed, Verstappen’s words give Red Bull fans hope that his decision won’t be swayed by emotions. His positive outlook on the new engine project suggests there’s still a chance he might stay, despite the ongoing rumors of a move to Mercedes or another team.
