Max Verstappen ‘not thinking’ about 2024 title prospects amidst very tight battle

Max Verstappen has continued to keep up with performances despite Red Bull’s struggling pace mid-way through the 2024 season. Verstappen continued his streak of impressive results after continuing to score massive points over the weekend. Red Bull has continued to attempt to improve in performance as Verstappen isn’t concerned about the season’s end just yet.
The 2024 season has proven Max Verstappen‘s racing talent apart from a dominant chassis on the grid. Verstappen has continued to lead the drivers’ championship standings despite the drop in performance. As a result, the Dutchman claimed that he wasn’t thinking of the final race at Abu Dhabi yet. Additionally, the 26-year-old laid out his goals to improve the chassis over the remaining races.

In addition to this, the 26-year-old highlighted that improving the chassis performance would enable the team to score better. Hence, the team’s ultimate goal was to improve the challenger down the season. Verstappen claimed that improving the car would ultimately make the team’s race weekends ‘much easier’.

Max Verstappen noted that the competition was amongst a ‘very tight margin’
Red Bull has continued to face stern competition from the rival teams after the slump in performance. Milton Keynes has never faced such competition since the beginning of the ground-effect era. Hence, Verstappen reckoned that the race was amongst ‘very tight margins’ in the 2024 season. However, better performance from the car would make the races smooth sailing down the season.
It is very tight margins, but the better performance we have from the car the easier it becomes.Max Verstappen noted.
The 2024 season has bunched up at the forefront of competition as Red Bull attempts to fend off against rivals. The championship contention is potentially distributed amongst the top four teams on the grid. As a result, the excitement would continue to build up until the very last moment and potentially create exciting contingencies.
