Q: What kind of a personality are you? Soft, Medium, or Hard?
Verstappen: Honestly, I think it depends, because I think you need to have a tough mentality in racing, even to get to Formula 1. Personally in your personal life, probably can be a bit more soft.
Clarkson: So hard and soft.
Verstappen: So, I’m probably in the middle then, medium because a hard and a soft.

Looking at Verstappen’s reaction, he has settled on the middle ground when it comes to his personality. He has emphasized how a driver is needed to change his personality from situation to situation. During the 27-year-old’s early years in F1, he had a reputation for being a bit of a hot head.

Marko always wants to do what is best for the three-time world champion.

My motivation is my passion, my enthusiasm for the sport and, of course, the strong bond with Max Verstappen and the Verstappens in general. It was clear to me that if I stayed, I would not be hindered or limited in any way, so I can always do what is best for Max.

Verstappen in recent times, has been linked with a potential 2026 move to either Aston Martin or the Toto Wolff-led Mercedes. Both parties are very interested in bringing him on board.

Keeping this in view, if Red Bull is not able to show Verstappen that they can come up with a competent car for 2026, then he might make the jump to a rival team. His current contract runs until the end of 2028 but it has an exit clause in it.
