The Dutch GP will be a pivotal race for Red Bull and Max Verstappen to maintain their lead in the constructors. The 2024 Formula 1 season resumes with its first event at Zandvoort, where the Dutchman will race on his home turf with a renewed mindset. Hence, he emphasizes why it is very important for the team to perform on Saturday’s Qualifying session.

Max Verstappen explained that the realistic outcome of the race on Sunday would largely depend on how well the drivers perform on Saturday. The qualifying session determines the starting positions for the race, so doing well on Saturday is crucial for the team. Verstappen also mentioned that the weather is expected to be rainy, which could make the track slippery and challenging.

What happens on Sunday depends entirely on what happens on Saturday. It looks like it's going to be quite wet.

Verstappen stated that everyone on the grid understands how important qualifying is because it’s hard to overtake on this track. He also mentioned that last year there was quite a bit of overtaking, but things are different now. Presently, several teams have cars that are closer in speed, which makes it even harder to pass other drivers. Hence, doing well in qualifying is even more critical because it gives drivers a better chance to start ahead of their rivals and control the race from the front.

Everyone knows that qualifying is very important, because overtaking is difficult here. Last year there was quite a bit of overtaking, but now several teams are more close together in terms of speed.
