Max Verstappen has put forth one of the greatest performances in the 2025 season. The Dutchman has continued to score stellar race wins despite mediocre pace from Red Bull’s challenger. Despite the team’s desperate performance slump, Verstappen still has great faith in the constructor and is hoping to end his career with the same team. Still, the reigning world champion makes a shocking confession about his tenure at the Austrian constructor.

The 2025 season has been nothing short of a massive challenge for Max Verstappen. Still, Verstappen is currently on a two-race win streak, especially amid Red Bull’s performance slump. The Dutchman has reduced the point deficit to the championship leader, Oscar Piastri, to 69 points following the recent Azerbaijan GP win. Although Milton Keynes’ pace is seemingly improving as compared to before, the 27-year-old still accepted having some doubts over his continuation.

Max Verstappen was recently rumored to be considering a move to Mercedes amid Red Bull’s problematic state. However, he ended the rumors quickly and declared that he hoped to finish his career with the same team as well. Verstappen still accepted that he went through some difficult moments while considering continuing his stay at the Austrian constructor.

Max Verstappen recalled that there were moments when he questioned his decision to keep racing for Red Bull and whether the team could turn things around. The Dutchman did accept that it was pointless to keep thinking negatively like that. Verstappen would rather look for solutions and try to solve the matter with people within the team. As such, that is exactly what Red Bull did and finally figured out the issues to resurrect their lost pace.

In the end you always go through certain difficult moments. And of course, sometimes you do think, ‘Is this going to be okay, can we still turn things around?’ But on the other hand, there’s no point to keep thinking like that. You always have to look for solutions, talk to people inside the team, and exchange ideas in a positive way. At the end of the day, that what it’s all about and that’s what we have done.

Max Verstappen insisted that things were going pretty well at Red Bull and made the race wins all the more special. The wins were even more special because of the struggles that the team had faced in recent years. Verstappen revealed that the atmosphere within the Austrian squad was very good now, which was very important for the Dutchman to keep winning races and maintain the positive momentum forward.

When you see that things are going well again, that makes those wins extra special, especially because of how we got through the bad moments together. The atmosphere is very good now, and that is also important. It gives people a bit more confidence, and sometimes that confidence is really important.

Red Bull still has to cover a lot of ground in improvement if it wants to return to their dominating days in Formula 1. But if any driver can do it, it’s definitely Max Verstappen, as his resilience has helped him achieve great success in the sport. For now, the Dutchman will hope to keep up with the positive pace and return back to his winning ways in the pinnacle of motorsport.
