Max Verstappen and Red Bull were considered the favorites for the 2024 world title. The Dutch driver has won the past three championships and dominated the sport in the last two seasons. However, the Austrian team has had a challenging campaign so far. Now, Verstappen has admitted that the team is facing persistent struggles.

The reigning world champion highlighted that at first, Red Bull thought that its struggles were more track specific this season. As Max Verstappen had won the majority of the races at the start of the season. However, Verstappen pointed out that no matter where the team races at, it now faces a difficult time against rivals.

In the beginning we could really say that it was track specific, but I think it's clear now that no matter what track we go to, we have a hard time everywhere.

Moreover, Max Verstappen acknowledged that he and Red Bull had failed to be the fastest on the grid in the last few races. The reigning world champion has been winless for four races in a row, something which last happened before he was even an F1 world champion back in 2020.

The 2024 F1 season has witnessed thrilling contest at the front of the field. Red Bull, McLaren, Mercedes, and Ferrari have all won races this year. Max Verstappen claimed that rivals team have done a great job at extracting performance out of their cars while Red Bull has struggled recently. Although, the Dutch driver pointed out that its Milton Keynes that still leads the standings.

it's a bit harder now. The others are doing a good job of improving the performance of the car, but of course we have to point out that we are still leading the constructors' standings.

Certainly, Max Verstappen and Red Bull have a lot of work to do when F1 returns from the summer break. The Dutch driver has a healthy lead in the championship. However, it is clear that the reigning world champion can no longer afford any more difficult weekends. Fans would hope to see Verstappen get back to winning ways soon.
