Red Bull driver Max Verstappen‘s future has been a cause of concern for the team and their rivals throughout the season. Verstappen is currently on a contract with the Milton-Keynes-based outfit until 2028.

Max Verstappen currently leads the drivers’ championship for the fourth consecutive year. He has, however, struggled with Red Bull finding it difficult to extract pace from the RB20. His discontent with the team’s proceedings has since raised concerns about his future with the team.

Verstappen has been heavily rumored to join Aston Martin in 2026 with the coming of new regulations. He has nevertheless reiterated his wish to remain with the Milton-Keynes-based team as of now.

Verstappen has also claimed that his next move will be his last one in Formula 1, regardless of his destination. He will now switch his focus toward returning back to winning ways after a month long break at Austin.

Red Bull Technical Advisor Helmut Marko stood up for Max Verstappen in light of his recent exchange with the FIA. Verstappen was earlier reprimanded for swearing during the Singapore GP press conference.

Helmut Marko was among those who greatly criticized the FIA for handing Verstappen community service duties for his swearing. Marko has since claimed that the Dutchman’s honor to his word could be interpreted as a positive message to the young fans as well.

Verstappen refrained from answering in a proper manner after securing P2 at Marina Bay last week as a part of his protest. He will now seek to gain closure from the FIA as he continues to stand strong for his values and beliefs.
