Max Verstappen and Red Bull are under pressure for the 2025 season. The reigning world champion narrowly clinched the world title last year during a difficult campaign. Now, the Dutchman has confessed that things might not be easy for Milton Keynes this year.
Verstappen seemed content during preseason testing in Bahrain. The four-time world champion insisted that things were under control in the Red Bull garage. Moreover, the 27-year-old refused to give any hints over how the RB21 had improved from its predecessor.
However, Max Verstappen made it clear that he doesn’t expect Red Bull to be the fastest team when the season begins in Melbourne. The Dutch driver acknowledged that he doesn’t know how Milton Keynes stands in comparison with the rest of the grid. He pointed out that there was still work to do before the first race.
I do not expect us to be the fastest at all, but at the same time, it is very difficult to tell where everyone’s pace is. There is some work to do for us.

Max Verstappen wants Red Bull to keep improving
The reigning world champion had a positive outing in the final day of testing. Max Verstappen highlighted that Red Bull did face a few problems, but managed to get almost everything completed as planned. Now, the 27-year-old has asserted that Milton Keynes will need to keep working to improve in the coming weeks.

I think we had a decent day. We had a few little problems, but overall we completed quite a bit of what we tried to do… we just keep on working and trying to improve.
Max Verstappen added
The fight at the front of the grid is expected to be even closer in 2025. Max Verstappen and Red Bull will need to push themselves to the limit this season. As fans hope to see the 27-year-old clinch a fifth world title in row, an achievement which even Sebastian Vettel failed to get at Milton Keynes.
