Red Bull driver Max Verstappen finished P2 on the podium after a gruesome race in Singapore. Verstappen was earlier declared to serve community service for swearing during the press conference ahead of the race on Thursday.

Max Verstappen has been known to use colorful language to depict his feelings both on and off track in Formula 1. The FIA has, however, shown their discontent by warning the Dutchman and, in this case, reprimanding him for the same.

Verstappen has therefore spoken in discontent with the FIA’s decision to charge drivers for the accidental use of swear words. The 26-year-old then went on to threaten an early retirement as a result of these impositions.

You can't be yourself, or you have to deal with these kind of silly things. I think now, I'm at the stage of my career that you don't want to be dealing with this all the time. It's really tiring. Of course, everyone is pushing to the limit. Everyone in this battle, even at the back of the grid. But if you have to deal with all these kind of silly things, for me, that is another way of [not] continuing in the sport.
Max Verstappen said to the media including RacingNews365

Verstappen also refused to give long answers to the media as a protest to the FIA post the qualifying on Saturday. The next couple of weeks will now determine the FIA’s reaction to the Dutchman’s dialogue in Singapore.

Max Verstappen deems P2 a good result for Red Bull at Singapore GP

The Milton-Keynes-based Red Bull battled tooth and nail to salvage a podium around the Marina Bay Street circuit. Max Verstappen has therefore shared his thoughts on claiming his second podium in the last four races.

Coming in second today was a good result for us. I think my start was quite decent but there wasn’t a lot of grip on that side so was difficult to have a go into turn one. The degradation was also quite high for me in the first stint.
Max Verstappen said after the Singapore Grand Prix

Verstappen claimed that the degradation on his first set of medium tires was bad at the Singapore Grand Prix. The Milton-Keynes-based team has been affected by problems with grip and tire durability for the better part of the season.

Red Bull currently trails McLaren by 41 points in the constructors’ championship. The Papayas have been phenomenal in their execution since the past few races. The Austrian outfit will now have to resolve the issues in order to deliver strong performances during the remaining races of the campaign.
