Max Verstappen is widely regarded as one of the greatest talents to exist at the pinnacle of motorsport. Verstappen has shattered multiple records in the past amidst his dominant performances on the grid. These performances have granted not only great fame to the Dutchman but also massive financial gains as he was spotted in the Quote 500, a list of the 500 wealthiest people in the Netherlands.
Formula 1 is considered a sport for the wealthy people. Hence, Max Verstappen‘s name in the list isn’t much surprising. However, it is worth noting that Verstappen has become the youngest person to appear on the list. At just the age of 27, the Dutchman was able to etch his name amongst the richest in the Netherlands.
The reigning world champion’s fortune was around $227 Million in the present year as he was on the list of Quote 500 amongst the top 500 richest. Verstappen’s financial gains from Formula 1 and other ventures placed him at the 322nd place of the top 500 list. Hence, the Dutchman is also likely to continue making appearances on the list after impressive performances in the pinnacle of motorsport.
Martin Brundle asserts Max Verstappen’s ‘legacy will be tainted’ amidst his racing attitude
Max Verstappen is infamous for his hard and borderline risky driving style on the grid compared to his rivals. Verstappen’s risky driving at the Mexican GP awarded him a 20-second time penalty following the on-track antics against Lando Norris. Hence, Martin Brundle reckoned that the Dutchman had more driving talent than anyone in the world. However, the 27-year-old’s legacy might be tainted due to his ‘don’t care’ attitude on the grid.
The Milton-Keynes-based Red Bull F1 team’s performance struggle in the 2024 season has caught Verstappen in a whirlwind. The Dutchman is unable to fight for the race wins following the struggling pace of the RB20. Hence, the 27-year-old is likely to showcase his hard-fought racing style on the track to continue to hold onto his driver’s championship lead.
