Max Verstappen has successfully achieved the 2024 Drivers’ Championship after struggling with performance throughout the season. The Dutchman won his fourth consecutive title and joined the elitist list of drivers in F1 history. Verstappen’s girlfriend Kelly Piquet, whose dad Nelson Piquet is also a 4-time champ, took to Instagram to congratulate his partner amidst the former’s victory.

Kelly Piquet is often spotted around race weekends donning complete support to her boyfriend Max Verstappen. Moreover, Piquet’s daughter Penelope is also often seen alongside the Brazilian supermodel cheering for the Red Bull racer. However, at the crucial Las Vegas GP, neither of the mother-daughter duo was present at the circuit.

This meant that Piquet was absent while Verstappen was being hailed as the four-time world champion. Regardless, the 35-year-old took to Instagram to congratulate the Dutchman on his massive feat. The Brazilian congratulated the 27-year-old on his fourth championship and put forth a loving word for the latter.

Max Verstappen labeled his fourth championship victory as ‘very special’

Red Bull suffered from a horrendous season in terms of pace and performance throughout. Regardless, Verstappen defied all odds and scored eight wins and counting. As a result, the Dutchman believed that achieving all these highs with the team was ‘extremely special’. Moreover, the people at the factory made this feat possible as the four-time world champion reiterated the ‘speciality’ of the victory.

All these highs we are achieving right now, it’s very special to achieve with all the people here and back at the factory, it’s very special.

Max Verstappen said during the post-race interview.

The 2024 season has truly peaked in competition and excitement at the forefront as Verstappen emerged victorious. However, the Constructors’ championship is still up for grabs for multiple teams. Although Red Bull seems far off from contending for the championship, Ferrari can still showcase a last-race battle with McLaren for the title.
