Woking has achieved a great lead in the championship and is highly likely to win it this season. Hence, amidst the ever-improving pace of the team, they are gaining confidence for next year after great learnings from this season.
McLaren has continued to take information from the dominant MCL38 chassis and implement it for next year’s chassis. Woking took data from the front wing and underbody as the team anticipated during the development of the present season’s chassis. Team principal Andrea Stella was ‘encouraged’ due to this situation for the team.
We were very encouraged that the data from the front wing and underbody at the race track matched what we had identified during development.

Speaking upon the upgrades implemented to McLaren’s MCL38, Stella noted that they weren’t as extensive as the upgrades in the past. However, the minor changes still contributed to the lap time as anticipated by the team. Moreover, Stella believed that these conditions made the outfit more confident regarding their preparations for the 2025 season.
The updates were not as extensive as some in the past, but they contributed to the lap time, just as we expected. This also gives us a lot of confidence in preparing for the 2025 season.

Ferrari’s massive mid-season improvement in performance has enabled them to achieve the runner-up spot in the constructors’ championship. The team is highly likely to compete with McLaren towards the end of the season with just four races remaining. Hence, Andrea Stella noted that Ferrari mastered the development phase where Woking couldn’t improve as expected.
There was a phase in which the development was not as expected, but Ferrari mastered that. I think it got some of its problems under control, and now it’s with a very strong car. Ferrari did well.
