McLaren team principal Andrea Stella has spoken on his team’s approach ahead of the United States GP this week. Formula 1 returns to action at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin following a three-week break.

McLaren has been the most promising team in terms of performance throughout the 2024 season. They currently lead the constructors’ championship by 41 points but have struggled with the drivers’ title so far.

Andrea Stella has thereafter urged the Papayas to vehemently fight to win both titles against all odds. Stella claims that a lot of points remain to be scored despite heading into the last six races of the fiercely contested season.

We’re only six races away from the end of the season but there are still a lot of points on the table. Many teams will be bringing updates in these final races, so we expect some close competition, but as always, we keep our heads down, focus on ourselves and look to consistently deliver points in our quest for both titles.

The Woking-based team faces a stern challenge from the likes of Red Bull and Ferrari heading into the race this week. An exciting battle will therefore take place as the top teams fight for the top spots around the 5.513 km Austin track.

Lando Norris rejuvenated and ready to perform at United States GP

Lando Norris has been a terrific performer for McLaren ever since his win at the Miami GP this year. He currently stands second in the drivers’ championship but firmly believes he can secure the coveted title.

I’ve spent some time back at the MTC in the sim preparing for the upcoming triple header. The next two months are going to be incredibly busy, but also exciting. I’m ready to get back in the car, so let’s show Texas what we can do.

Lando Norris claims to have spent a considerable amount of time at the McLaren Technology Center (MTC) to prepare for the COTA race. He is wary of the coming challenges but has conveyed his excitement for the same.

Norris banished the woes of starting poorly by winning the Singapore GP from pole position last month. The Brit must now continue with his convincing form to change his fortunes in the driver championship from here on.
