McLaren CEO Zak Brown has refused to rule out the possibility of Aston Martin making a comeback in 2025. The Silverstone-based team has been far from competent this season, amassing only 73 points so far.

Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso has also failed to perform convincingly in the AMR24 this campaign. The veteran Spaniard was a formidable force during 2023, he amassed eight podiums for the team.

Zak Brown has thereafter predicted the possibility of a change in the fortunes of every team ahead of an epic 2025 season. Brown claimed that all the teams are capable of matching the performances of McLaren and Red Bull next year.

2025 could be an epic season. It will be an evolution of the four teams that are fighting for the Championship and I think it would be very bold to rule out someone who is in the top four right now. We can see how quickly things are changing, with Aston Martin falling behind, but they could come back. There is no reason to think that other teams cannot do what we have done.
Zak Brown told the media including RacingNews365

Fernando Alonso on the other hand, has outlined the issues with the AMR24 on multiple occasions this season. The team will now look to work on their problems to come up with a much-improved car in 2025.

Fernando Alonso regrets not being able to design an F1 car

The 43-year-old Alonso is the longest-serving driver in Formula 1. He has had a fair share of ups and downs in a vastly impressive career that spans over 23 years. The veteran Spaniard has since revealed a prolonged wish of his other than racing at the pinnacle of motorsport.

Alonso has expressed his desire to design an F1 car but has cited his inability to do so. However, the veteran has been a racer through multiple eras of the sport, which is a supportive testament to his vast knowledge.

Rumors have emerged pointing to the Spaniard’s retirement in 2026 when his contract with Aston Martin runs out. But until then, the two-time world champion will put his heart and soul into excelling at the sport he loves from the bottom of his heart.
