“A lot of people deserve something,” Guenther Steiner slams all ‘suggestions’ about the 2023 Haas lineup

Guenther Steiner

Guenther Steiner, Haas team principal has overworked his way after a disappointing 2020 and 2021 season. Haas finished last on both occasions but 2022 has brought all of their stars aligned with multiple points races. But Steiner still has a lot of work to look after the major part of it is deciding the 2023 lineup.

Kevin Magnussen made his return to F1 in Bahrain, after being fired at the end of the 2020 season. Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher got their chance to drive the 2021 Haas but were thrown off by the competition in F1. After eliminating Nikita out of the 2021 season, Kevin and Mick took fairly good care of the 2022 car, and they are doing much better than last season. But Guenther Steiner is concerned about the seat for the next season.

Steiner openly replied to all the rumours and opinions with his decision on the 2023 lineup. Magnussen has had an amazing season but Schumacher did struggle to make his way through but did make Steiner proud in a few races. The duo could very much go on for the next season but Steiner with his intention to get another experienced driver on that seat makes Schumacher at risk.

Kevin Magnussen had said that his teammate Schumacher deserves to continue in Formula 1 on current performance, but Steiner has his own opinions: “I need to look after the whole team and see if Mick is the chosen one. Obviously, Kevin said what he thinks and then I need to look after the team for the future.”

“We will take the driver we want in the car and think we can go forward in developing the team,” concluded Steiner as per PlanetF1.

Haas is in a fight with AlphaTauri after a better weekend in the USA with Magnussen’s P8 finish. Nico Hulkenberg is rumoured to make his return back to the grid by becoming a Haas driver for the 2023 season, but as of now, it is just that, rumour.
