Max Verstappen, the reigning F1 world champion, broke records for fun during the ongoing 2023 F1 season. After his 51st Grand Prix win at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez F1 circuit, he has now equaled the former four-time world champion Alain Prost’s wins record.

Alain Prost, during his time, was a menace on the racing track, and people used to fear racing alongside him. While Max Verstappen has equaled his record, the Frenchman has made it known that he is not jealous of seeing Verstappen climbing the ladder of success at the pinnacle of motor racing.

While shedding light on the same in detail, Prost said as reported by racingnews365, that he is immensely impressed with what Verstappen has been able to do so far in his F1 career. Moreover, he has made it known that while his time is up, the Dutchman’s story is still being written and is nothing short of beautiful.

There are five people with at least that number of victories. Five in the history of Formula 1. I am not ashamed to say that I am proud to be in that list. My story is over, but it was beautiful, and Max's is being written now and is just as beautiful, in his own way

Max Verstappen has performed in a class of his own in recent years

While Alan Prost has showered praise on Max Verstappen for his prolific F1 exploits, the latter has been nothing short of sensational since the dawn of the 2022 F1 regulations. Red Bull nailed the new rules from the get-go, and Verstappen has since proved unstoppable in the sport.

The 26-year-old secured his third consecutive world title during the Qatar Grand Prix weekend but, despite this, is not giving the other drivers even an inch to get at him. Such has been his supremacy over his rivals. His stock as an F1 racing driver has increased massively in recent years.

Alain Prost won four world titles during his racing days, and while Max Verstappen has equaled his wins record, next year, he will have the chance of equalling his four world titles record. Moreover, considering his form, he will be the favorite to again triumph during the 2024 campaign.
