Max Verstappen, the reigning world champion, is currently the hottest property in F1. While he has been operating at an extremely high level in recent times, ex-F1 world champion, Alain Prost, has also been impressed by one other trait of his.
Max Verstappen has always been a blunt kind of person who is known for wearing his heart on his sleeves. He has never shied away from making his feelings known and this is something, that Alain Prost likes a lot about him.
While shedding light on the same, he recently said, as reported by Motor Sport Magazine:
For me it's good to see a driver like him. I was very pleased to listen to what he also said about not liking the sprint races. At least he says what he thinks and is not afraid by the political game. I like that.
Looking at the reaction, the 68-year-old has made it quite clear that he likes Verstappen for how he carries himself during Grand Prix weekends. Moreover, has indicated that the latter’s tendency to not sugarcoat anything is what sets him apart in comparison to the other 19 drivers.
Max Verstappen in the past has passionately spoken against Sprint races
While Alain Prost has showered praise on Max Verstappen for staying as authentic as possible, one instance out of the many, where the former’s assessment of Verstappen fits well, is how bluntly the latter spoke about Sprint races last year. The Red Bull driver has never been a fan of the format.
Most of the drivers were seeing the positive side of it during the 2023 campaign, but Verstappen, on the other hand, was not even a tiny bit pleased by it. Moreover, he made his frustration known with the format on several occasions. In a past interview with racingnews365, Verstappen said,
Even I can't keep track of exactly what the rules are anymore, which makes me feel lost. It's like a circus.

Max Verstappen, despite being 26 years old, is extremely mature for his age. During his early years in the sport, he was a bit of a hothead, but as the years have gone by; he has learned to stay calm while expressing himself. This one trait has helped him immensely in dealing with on-track as well as off-track verbal tussles. The 2024 F1 season is just around the corner, and considering how he performed last year, several eyes will be on him from Bahrain onwards.
